New Work - with freedom to more efficiency in the team.

The rapidly changing world of work also requires a rethink. “New Work” focuses on flexibility, personal responsibility and collaboration: employees have more freedom in terms of working hours and location and can make their own decisions. Flat hierarchies and digital technologies promote a meaningful work culture that meets changing requirements.

This year's B52.day highlighted topics such as strategy, corporate culture, software and equipment and how they can shape the modern way of working. Here is a brief insight into the presentations:

Jörg Castor from Fraunhofer IAO used current studies to illustrate the development of hybrid working environments: The proportion of working time spent at home has quadrupled since 2018, while working on site has fallen to 51%. Few employees want to work exclusively in the office or only from home.

Jan Berghaus and Martin Stiebeling from S3 Advice GmbH emphasized the importance of changing the world of work and mindsets to create better working environments. Jan Berghaus compared the working environment to a telephone whose “apps” should be used in a targeted manner.

Allan Chester from any2any GmbH used humor to show how a multifunctional app solution can reduce friction and waiting times in companies and ensure secure access and authentication.

Frank Schröder from Phoenix Contact explained how an intelligent area analysis with workplace sensors contributes to sustainability and efficiency in the company.

During a factory tour, our guests were able to follow the life cycle of a modern locking system solution, from the first drawing to the packaged product, and take a look behind the scenes of our production.
